Sampler from the kitchen fell short - a parfait of black currant creme with a yummy chocolate crumble bottom that was hard to get to but worth the digging. Also included were a peach cheesecake (nothing to write home about) and a strawberry crumble (meh). Mr. C stands by his advice to avoid 'chef's surprise dessert' as he says it's a way to get rid of the old stuff.
