furflebear's Prawn Mee list
So Sibling#2 has been bugging me for the longest time to try out this prawn mee from a food truck. I’ve always declined because : 1. The food truck is located outside a wet market which I thought might be a problem because of the smell. Turns out I was wrong, there was no unpleasant market scents at all. 2. It is insanely difficult to get a parking space here. Luckily our parking stars were aligned and we got one easily. 3. It is too hot to dine outside by the roadside. Ok that wasn’t too bad as the food truck operator has set up standing fans around the tables and it was a somewhat cool day. So how did the bowl of noodles fare? They were really good. The broth, the most important aspect of a good prawn mee, was sweet and tasted distinctively of prawns. Ask for a mixture of mee (yellow noodles) and meehoon (vermicelli) for the best way to enjoy this bowl. Tell them to skip the chilli if you can’t handle the heat although I recommend that you don’t. And if you feel that you need more pork slices or prawns, you can always ask them for more. Extra charge, of course 😉.
