Pistachio Eclair BRIEF: “Pistachio white chocolate ganache, strawberries, feuilletine” SOOT’S TAKE: I had high expectations for this but alas, it left much to be desired in terms of flavor and texture. Strawberries weren’t great and the whole thing just tasted kind of old and stodgy. Paris Brest Eclair BRIEF: “Hazelnut praline pastry cream, diced almonds, sugar nibs, hazelnuts” SOOT’S TAKE: After a disappointing experience with the pistachio-strawberry eclair, I was ready to tamp down my expectations for the second one. This was actually quite good (although the nuts had lost their crunch), but alas, not good enough that I would get it again; not at full price anyway LOL.
