Eavesdropping on a pool conversation: "how does the Coffee grinder work?" "just push the button, why?" " I wanna grind a bud". I say - Hotel owners of the world - make it a rule to have a coffee grinder in the room - and fresh, überaromatic beans. lovely and so much more civilized than the horrible Starbucks crap. (and bud lovers can grind other stuff)

While queuing to get a Herbstfest reservation. They kindly bring free coffee and of course beer to the crowd while a Bavarian Band is playing:-) The first began waiting in line at midnight - right after the game :-)

Last morning in the wonderful Hana - and what better way to begin than with a nice mug of hot, black, steamy coffee.

Oh yes - what a lovely place! Tiny, filled with normal people (you know, the tattooed up to the chin, grannies from the neighborhood kind a peeps), sports and dog pictures, a Vietnam POW poster and Jack, making the most heavenly breakfast and coffee. Yes Coffee. no fancy flatwhitecappucinolattesoymilk shenanigans. Just coffee. Keep your fingers crossed that you get one if the two tables or a spot at the bar and bring cash. Plastic is no good there :-) love that place and suck it Corporate evil from Seattle!!!
