Nope not as in Señor coconut the brilliant musician - but as in very old coconut. As Andrew, the nice guy that explained everything, pointed out it is a coconut that- after falling off a tree, lingering, maturing, not being touched - finally begins to grow. It is a cotton candy like substance, über sweet and fluffy. Oh and it takes about 5 to 10 years for that to happen.

Wow... We learned so much about coconuts here!! This might be old news for a lot if you - I want to share anyways. Presented here is a 'middle aged' coconut. You can see the firm flesh that one might get in a store bought one. It takes several YEARS to get to that. The water slowly turns into this hard flesh.

Welcome to the fabulous Borough market. THE place to nosh and nibble your way through the good part of a day when visiting London. So many things to see and try - one of the oldest (1276) and largest food markets in London. The 3 C's had a wonderful time, even though Mrs. C had a dental emergency. Nothing slowed this grazing train down! Have a look at SOME of the things we tasted... there was just too much to cover. ;)
