What a nice little home made Goulash soup. Mrs. Carastian honesty enjoyed it - not only because it finally put some food into her - but because the flavors were all there and were robust, smokey (thank you Mr. Bacon!) and deep.

Dinzler from Irschenberg offered a lovely goulash made with veal - slow cooked tender meat, richly deep sauce that tried like hell but couldn't save the horribly dry knoedel on the side. They are brilliant on coffee roasting - but the Knödeling.. well...
