Petit Trois is closed during the pandemic - no take out of their regular menu. They do, however, have a "Goods Store" which includes a few baked items and their Big Mec Double Cheeseburger burger kit. They give you the ingredients and instructions to make 2 of their famous burgers at home. This idea fascinated me, because I (sadly) did not enjoy the $20something burger in the restaurant. It was rare (too rare for me) and the mec sauce had big chunks of pickles in it (and I am anti pickle). I knew we could cook it a little longer and we even strained the pickles out of the sauce! Oh my God... Amazing 😍. Gorgeous brioche buns toasted in clarified butter, 2 thin burgers (this time cooked to medium rare), 3 slices of cheese, spread and Bordelaise sauce. Bam! Mother's Day lunch was a huge success ❤️❤️. Thanks @joshuagodinez

Aged beef, American cheese, pulled beef brisket, pickled red onions, garlic mayo on a beautiful brioche bun. This may be controversial, but I just can't unseat the double double without a direct comparison (it is too special in my memory). #LondonEatUp

This took some serious contemplation and discussion of where to place it on the burger list. Number 3 is pretty lofty, but this is one amazing Burger. Black Angus beef, fried egg, Applewood smoked bacon, havarti cheese, roasted tomatoes, arugula, and a gorgeous brioche bun. The meat grind is perfect and the bacon is ridiculously good. Actually, the worst thing I can say about it is that it was messy. I'm almost offended that they put a salad on the plate next to this.

The picture isn't great, but this burger is. This won round 3 of our Burger Off. Double Parmesan crusted bun, Gruyere cheese, red wine onions & crispy onion strings served with onion soup au jus.

Double Parmesan-crusted bun, Gruyere cheese, red wine onions and crispy onion strings served with onion soup au jus. So I wanted to try this again, but have a full burger experience. The meat is very good and flavorful. The bun is wonderful. Too many red wine onions. The balance of flavors is off with that quantity. The au jus is unnecessary. Great burger still.

Grilled cheese buns, cheddar, bbq, bacon, grilled onion, pickle. This picture doesn't show you how amazingly toasted those grilled cheese sandwiches are. Those would be amazing sandwiches just on their own. This is their famous burger. You have to have it at least once in your lifetime

For a limited time... Truffle burger with short ribs on top. #SoDecadent. Just wow.

This was at Smorgasburg at the Stoked pop up. Apparently, Beacon is their sister restaurant. Wagyu beef, double cream brie, garlic aioli and caramelized onions on a toasted brioche. Creamy, flavorful... no wonder it won a burger competition last year. That bun... oh yeah. This restaurant has frou frou food (ahem, kale and avocado in everything...) but we would go there for this burger!

Champagne hollandaise, Canadian bacon, fried egg, field greens... Damn good burger!

2 burger patties, American cheese, caramelized onions and house spread served with a boat of queso to dip in. Wow! There are 2 house spreads. We liked the spicy one. It tastes like the In N Out spread but spicier. This is a small and new place. Yelp turned us onto to it...and I'm so glad! Didn't even realize this shopping area had been revamped to be like Olvera Street. The owner is great and the food is tasty. We will be back!

8oz American wagyu beef, tomato bacon jam, swiss, mushrooms, green garlic aioli. Served with crispy fries. This burger had really good flavor! I would totally get this next time!

Smoked mozzarella, Parmesan Flakes, Crispy Prosciutto, & Lemon Basil Aioli. Gorgeous buns. This is a great burger, but the prosciutto and parmesan were not as noticeable. The meat and cheese were the stars. I think I'd like to try the one with tons of mushrooms next time. 😎

Today's winner of the Round 4 Burger Off. Hawaiian roll bun and secret sauce (which had a little kick to it) combined with a really good tasting patty made for the best burger today.

Juicy and flavorful meat. Nice bun. Amazing cheese. Toppings on the side. Excellent. This was my son's. I will have to go back to get one just for me (fully loaded!)

This burger was created by Alton Brown and is available for a limited time. The beef patty is studded with bacon lardons, cheddar cheese, smashed cheesy tater tots, miso-maple bacon, fried sage leaves, coffee ketchup, and a fried egg. 

This burger is insane! Waffle buns, cheddar, fried chicken, bacon, maple, sriracha... AND the burger patty! Wow. The waffles are a little sweet, and it all works.

It tastes just like a regular Big Mac. Honestly, if my eyes were closed, I would not have known that there were 2 extra patties.

Mushrooms sauteed in garlic parmesan and topped with swiss. OMG, can I have those mushrooms on EVERYTHING?!
