REALLY GOOD
1st FILET-O-FISH
McDonald's, Los Angeles
Don't judge me... I love these little guys
2nd CITRUS HARISSA SALMON BURGER
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, Thousand Oaks
A pan-seared and lightly blackened 6-oz. salmon fillet with roasted red pepper harissa aioli, crisp tempura lemon wheels, citrus-marinated tomatoes and onion with arugula on a toasted telera bun. The fried lemon chips are strong but fascinating. If you love lemon and fish, you should try this!
PRETTY GOOD
3rd CRESCENT CITY FRIED SHRIMP PO' BOY
The Little Jewel of New Orleans, Los Angeles
Huge sandwich. Got mine without pickles. It's good. Add the remoulade sauce.
JUST OK
4th FILET-O-FISH
McDonald's, Williams
I normally love this sandwich, but it was disappointing at this location.
NOT FOR ME
5th BEER BATTERED FISH SANDWICH
Arby's, Los Angeles
The brioche bun and beer batter look so good, don't they. It's a lie! Not good. I'm almost offended by this sandwich...it doesn't even come close to McDonald's Filet-o-fish sandwich, which is SO SIMPLE. If you can't even compete with that, why are you wasting my time and money? Arby's, go home!
6th CRISPY FISH SANDWICH
Arby's, Los Angeles
It kills me how fast food never looks like they advertise... Crispy fish fillet, lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. Blech. Looks crappy and tastes barely better. The shape of the fillet is long and skinny, but the bun is round. (Insert dramatic eye roll) On 2 sides next to the fish, you get full bites of bread and tartar sauce with some veg. Sad. I should have looked here before ordering since the last fish sandwich they had on the menu was also bad.
