AMAZING
1st BOURBON GLAZED PORK CHOP
Austen's Restaurant, Ventura
With a bourbon glazed apple chutney, fingerling potatoes and a spinach bacon hash. The seasoning and grilling was perfect. A well composed and delicious dish.
2nd PORK CHOP
CF Food Kitchen, Los Angeles
With apple and onion demi glace. tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. My husband said this was his favorite pork chop!
REALLY GOOD
3rd GRILLED DUROC PORK
Saddle Peak Lodge, Calabasas
Serbed with a 3 Pepper Mac & Cheese, Pork Braised Collard Greens and Sage Bernaise. I didn't care for the greens and the Mac was just ok, but the pork was really good! #dineLA
4th PORK PORTERHOUSE
Firefly, Los Angeles
Roasted brussel sprouts, bacon, anchovies, mustard cream.
5th PORTERHOUSE PORK CHOP
Posada, Livermore
tomatillo sauce, escabeche carrots, arroz con leche with roasted corn. I've never had a savory arroz con leche. It was really good! A surprising discovery 🙂. This dish could have been rated higher, but there were some dry parts of the pork. If it had been cooked a little less, it would have been perfect for me.
6th PAM'S LOCO MOCO
Hungry Fox, Los Angeles
I am not putting this under loco moco. The pork chop is delicious. It tastes like Indonesian satay. The waiter said that it is Thai and pretty much the same thing. The gravy is on the side so that you can assemble your loco moco yourself. The gravy does not improve the pork, which tastes terrific on its own. I recommend assembling the rice gravy and egg and keeping the pork chop on the side.
7th DOUBLE CUT PRIME PORK CHOP, 16 OZ
Morton's The Steakhouse, Los Angeles
Undercooked in the center... There was no description in the menu, so I thought the accompaniment was applesauce. It was a peach horseradish sauce which was a shocking bite when I was expecting something else. I thought this meal was pretty good but my husband loved it, so we traded dishes. He loved the garlic mashed potatoes too. And the horseradish. To be fair, he'd had four glasses of wine by this time. #dinela
PRETTY GOOD
8th 10 OZ BONE IN PORK CHOP
Restaurant 917, Carson
with warm potato salad, smoked bacon and rosemary honey mustard. The pork was very good quality and cooked well. I didn't love the mustard sauce though.
9th DOUBLE THICK PORK RIB CHOP
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Los Angeles
Julienne of apples and jicama, Apple cider and creole mustard glaze. Unique flavors, but the chop was a little too dry.
10th FRIED PORK CHOP
Din Tai Fung, Glendale
This is an appetizer. Tender. Pretty good
11th PORK CHOP
Wood & Water, Los Angeles
Asian house marinade, whole grain Dijon mashed potatoes and quick pickled purple cabbage. #dinela
