AMAZING
2nd SLOW ROASTED PRIME RIB
The Old Town Junction, Santa Clarita
Huge cut, perfectly cooked. Great seasoning!
3rd PRIME RIB
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Los Angeles
Delicious. Not as good as Lawry's, but a close 2nd.
REALLY GOOD
4th 16 OZ PRIME RIB
Outback Steakhouse, Los Angeles
Great crust of seasonings. Thick and tender. Enough food for dinner and lunch the next day!
5th PRIME RIB, CALIFORNIA CUT
Tam O'Shanter, Los Angeles
This is a smaller cut. This particular cut was uneven so it was pretty thin on one side, but it was still good. The creamed corn was really nice. Unfortunately, they do not serve this prime rib with au jus. I paid another 50 cents to get it on the side though. Weird.
5th PRIME RIB, CALIFORNIA CUT
Tam O'Shanter, Los Angeles
This is the smallest cut. Served with potatos and gravy, Yorkshire pudding and your choice of creamed corn or creamed spinach.
6th PRIME RIB
Coco's Bakery Restaurant, Los Angeles
I was very pleasantly surprised by this dish. We have lived down the street from Coco's for about 20 years and we've only been there twice (AGES ago). It is a franchise restaurant, and we did not think much of it. However, we decided to give it a try tonight. The meat was cooked just as I asked, and it was seasoned very well. The baked potato was nothing special, but let's be honest, it's all about the meat! I'm so glad that I now know I have somewhere very close to home with good prime rib. I am hopeful that some of their other dishes will be equally surprising. I guess I've just been a snob. 😐
PRETTY GOOD
7th PRIME RIB LUNCH
Black Angus Steakhouse, Los Angeles
At least their meat is still good...
JUST OK
8th 8 OZ PRIME RIB WITH AU GRATIN POTATOES
Smoke House Restaurant, Burbank
Okay. Half of the prime rib was overcooked... I guess it's romantic here since all of my pictures came out dark! 😉
