AMAZING
1st FOCACCIA
The Steerage Dining Saloon, Port Washington
This bread is absolutely incredible!!! Served hot with an herb and salt flake seasoning and a garlic tomato oil that is brimming with flavor. An all-time cozy location worth going to for the bread alone!
REALLY GOOD
2nd PRETZEL BREADSTICKS
Eagle Park Brewing Company, Milwaukee
Great crisp exterior with fluffy inside! Beer cheese is a bit flat in taste, but still worth ordering for the table!
3rd VEGANSTIX
Toppers Pizza, Milwaukee
A tender yet dense dough nearly gives an underbaked texture that works great with whatever dairy-free witchcraft added flavor on top. A robust marinara and sriracha ranch were great dipping sauces as well!
PRETTY GOOD
4th GARLIC BREAD
Il Porcellino, Chicago
A very fluffy savory bread, but doesn’t have quite as much garlic as I would have liked. Excellent crust, and pairs VERY well with the prime meatballs!
5th GARLIC KNOT
Sal's Pizza Cedarburg, Cedarburg
A nice and tender bread, but lacking flavor overall. The hints of garlic and salt were nice, but more was needed to make these sing. Not bad, but definitely room for improvement.
NOT FOR ME
6th GARLIC KNOTS
Reginelli's Pizzeria, New Orleans
These garlic knots were rather disappointing… the garlic was way too thick and chunky. The bread was good, but having a massive pile of garlic slapped on top does not make these good garlic knots nor appetizing.
7th GARLIC BREAD
The Pasta Shoppe, Port Washington
Bread was very dry and bland. Not worth the time. The pool of grease at the bottom was rather entertaining for the table however.
