AMAZING
1st BAK KUT TEH (DRY)
Original Bah Kut Teh Yap Chuan正宗葉全肉骨茶, Puchong
Gorgeously tender pork (intestines and all) cooked in a dark, caramelized sauce. It is sweet and salty and a little spicy from the dried chilies cooked with it. Very good, especially with white rice.
REALLY GOOD
2nd BAK KUT TEH (SOUP)
Original Bah Kut Teh Yap Chuan正宗葉全肉骨茶, Puchong
Pork bone soup. This clay pot was filled to the brim with pork belly, pork ribs, pig stomach, pig intestines... all cooked in a herbal broth which is refillable. I’m usually not a fan of BKT, but this one I would have on a regular basis.
PRETTY GOOD
3rd CLAYPOT DRY - PORK BELLY
Kee Hiong Klang Bak Kut Teh, Petaling Jaya
Oh yasssss mama, yassssssssss!!! Chunks of pork belly coated in a sticky sweet salty sauce. So good with their yam rice. I have to say though, this is not as good as my favourite dry BKT but it’ll do!
4th CLAYPOT SOUP - PAI KUT
Kee Hiong Klang Bak Kut Teh, Petaling Jaya
Not a bad version of Klang BKT. Especially good if you don’t really feel like driving all the way to Klang. This came with some tofu puffs, bean curd skin and lettuce. Lettuce was promptly removed cos it was green. And also blocking my view of the pork ribs 😜.
5th BAK KUT TEH (PORK, BONE, TEA)
Ah Han Bah Kut Teh, Klang
