AMAZING
1st SALT N BEEFY
Patty & Pie, Petaling Jaya
Beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, salt beef brisket, pickles, horseradish cream. This was freaking E P I C ! ! ! I could barely hold it in my hands but I managed somehow. The bun was solid enough to hold everything together without being too doughy and I managed to stuff my face gleefully with beefy goodness. Never mind that I had horseradish cream all over my hands, face, clothes...
2nd XOXO
Patty & Pie, Petaling Jaya
Beef patty, Swiss cheese, ox tongue, sauerkraut and mustard cream and some green leafy stuff to take away some of the guilt. Another stellar offering from the folks at Patty & Pie!
REALLY GOOD
3rd TEXAS BURGER
Christine's Bakery, Petaling Jaya
Angus and wagyu beef patty, tempura onion ring, caramelized onion rings, cheddar cheese, smoky BBQ aioli. Very good!
4th BLUE CHEESE BURGER
Pebble, Kuala Lumpur
A good solid burger. Lots of caramelised onions for the sweetness, plenty (but not too much!) of blue cheese for the saltiness and a thick, juicy beef patty to complete it all. No gimmicky sauces needed. And their fries are really good too! A revisit is definitely in the books!
5th BEAUTIFUL MESS 5.0
myBurgerLab Cyberjaya, Cyberjaya
Cheddar beef patty topped with deep fried portobello mushrooms, honey mustard and a sunny side up egg. Added on onion jam for this and it was da bomb! We will be adding onion jam to all our burgers from now on 😋. This whole mess of a burger really works, from the juicy portobello mushrooms and patty to the gloriously runny egg. Oh and those fries are pretty amazing too! They throw in some garlic cloves in there as well and they really do pack a punch. Perfect with their signature red sauce!
6th RENDANG SPICED BEEF BURGER
Yin's Sourdough Bakery and Cafe, Petaling Jaya
Do not expect a greasy, messy burger here. This is one of those healthy, everything made from scratch burger. But don’t let that stop you. It’s gooooood! That patty may look thin in the picture but it’s actually more than an inch thick. What a mouthful! And I couldn’t get enough of their homemade ketchup and mayonnaise. Perfect with their handcut sweet potato fries.
7th MAGMARR
KGB TTDI (Killer Gourmet Burgers Taman Tun Dr Ismail), Kuala Lumpur
“Molten salted egg yolk mac n cheese burger” One giant pile of delicious greasiness. Leave your diet at the door please.
8th SAMURAI BURGER
McDonald's Puchong Permai DT, Selangor
After years of waiting, the Samurai Burger is finally back! Some may say that the teriyaki sauce is just too sweet but this will always be my favourite limited-time only burger that Mekdi offers. It’s messy, but it’s good. And in my twisted, psychotic mind it’s way better than the Prosperity Burger.
9th GOLDEN PROSPERITY BEEF BURGER
McDonald's Bandar Puteri Puchong DT, Selangor
There are a few things in Malaysia that signal the beginning of the Chinese New Year season... Festive CNY songs playing in the malls, splashes of red and gold decorations everywhere, and... the return of McDonald’s Prosperity Burger. Consisting of a beef (or chicken) patty coated in black pepper sauce and topped with raw onions in between an oblong sesame bun, this burger was first created and launched in Malaysia in 1994. The Golden Prosperity has an added piece of hash brown which unfortunately does not retain all of its crispiness due to the amount of sauce slathered on that patty. No matter though because if you love black pepper sauce you will still enjoy this burger. Try adding a sachet or two of Mekdi’s chilli sauce to the burger. It helps tone down the pungency of the black pepper and adds a touch of sweetness to the burger.
