AMAZING
1st BUTTERMILK
MTR, Kuala Lumpur
Wow. Wow, wow, wow. This fresh buttermilk with cilantro, cumin and chillies is probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Just the right amount of flavour from the spices to give it that punch and the chillies were just enough to tickle your throat without burning it. My go-to drink here. I only wished they didn’t serve it in a disposable cup.
REALLY GOOD
2nd DIRTY STRAWBERRY
Cheers Cheese Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya
Er. Mah. Gerd. This was absolutely freaking delicious. Look at those chunks of strawberries. Chunks!!! Makes me excited to go back to try their cheese drinks. Yassssssss!
3rd STRAWBERRY LATTE
百啡待興 DRIFT COFFEE, Petaling Jaya
Delish! Let it sit for a bit, for the strawberries and milk to mingle and get to know each other. A bit expensive but eh, just do it. It’s yummy.
4th MATCHA LEMONADE
Flint Café & Roastery, Petaling Jaya
Homemade honey lemon infusion, lemon juice, Ajisai matcha, soda water. The matcha came in a really cool wooden cup which you then pour into the glass of lemonade. I actually preferred this over their coffee. Shocking.
5th PISTACHIO LATTE
Butter & Spice, Petaling Jaya
Stir well before drinking. There’s a reason why they give you a stirrer.
6th VINEGAR PROBIOTIC COCONUT CALAMANSI
Kojitsu Kitchen, Kuala Lumpur
Ok I know it sounds weird but it’s really nice. If you enjoy kombucha, you will likely enjoy this. *** Private kitchen, strictly by reservations only.
PRETTY GOOD
7th BLUE GENTLEMAN LATTE
Yin's Sourdough Bakery and Cafe, Petaling Jaya
Butterfly pea flower latte. Tastes like frothed milk with a touch of white chocolate. It would be better with coffee heehee 😜. It’s not bad though, kinda like a warm hug for your belly.
8th BLACK SESAME LATTE
270sqft, Petaling Jaya
This is not a drink you can gulp down quickly. You will need to constantly stir as you drink, as the black sesame bits tend to sink. Take your time with this. Stir, sip, savour, stir, sip, savour. Tastewise, this reminded me of black sesame soup, but less thick and with milk. I found this oddly comforting and might actually reorder on my non-coffee days.
