REALLY GOOD
1st MALA TOFU BURGER
Pun's, Petaling Jaya
Mala spiced tofu, spicy vinegrete, cheese and dressed alfalfa. Wow, this was a flavour bomb! The vinegrete reminded me of kimchi, but a more intense kick-ass version and really brought everything together. Just one minor gripe... I wished the cheese was melted down. Would reorder this again for sure!
2nd VIVIEN’S HUSBAND
myBurgerLab Seapark, Petaling Jaya
A whole portobello, deep-fried and topped with a pineapple ring, cheddar cheese and mango mayo. Fruity, crunchy and juicy according to their description. And indeed it was fruity, crunchy and juicy. Great meatless burger!
3rd VADA PAV
Thosai Cafe, Petaling Jaya
“An Indian burger bun stuffed with a potato fritter and served with a spicy chutney.” Very tasty indeed. Very filling too! And they weren’t kidding about that spicy chutney. Special shout-out to the friendly staff who were obliging enough to help us cut this into quarters.
