REALLY GOOD
1st STEAMED BUNS
Din Tai Fung Xinyi Restaurant, Taipei City
2nd CHICKEN & MUSHROOM BUNS
Din Tai Fung, Portland
3rd CHICKEN & MUSHROOM BUNS
Din Tai Fung, Tigard
Seasoned chicken mixed with chopped carrots, celery & oyster mushrooms - all wrapped in a fluffy bun.
4th STEAMED BAO
Bao Bao, Portland
This order included 1 pork bao & 1 chicken curry bao. Though both were good, we preferred the pork bao.
5th Q-BAO
Dough Zone™ Dumpling House, Seattle
6th PORK & CABBAGE BAOZI
XLB, Portland
The texture and amount of meat filling was excellent. The outer bao isn't as white, but exactly as it supposed to be.
6th PORK & CABBAGE BAOZI
XLB, Portland
These came fresh off the steamer. They were super steamy hot when I opened one up. There was plenty of filling, with just enough baozi.
7th PANANG CHICKEN BUN
Bangkok Joe's, Washington
Steamed buns are a staple at most chinese restaurants dim sum menu. Bangkok Joe's version is a bit spendy for 2 buns, BUT they are quality. The filing was pretty substantial and tasted good.
PRETTY GOOD
8th PAN FRIED PORK BUNS
DD Soup Dumpling & Fuji Hibachi, New York
