PRETTY GOOD
1st CHAR KWAY TEOW
Restaurant Station 8, Petaling Jaya
At this place, a man who calls himself... ‘James Bond’ can be found stir-frying the Penang-style Fried Broad Rice Noodles. And for one who must think he’s a spy, he does a good job of frying up a plate of these noodles (and no easy feat, I might add)! A bit better than pretty good! ‘The Spy Who Fried Mee’... Oops! Ouch! (Excuse the pun!) #noodles
2nd CHAR KUEY TEOW
Shopping Centre - Little Penang Kafe @ Atria, Malaysia
CKT… could do with being a tad more charred. Not bad, and costly! #CKT #noodles #fried #penang #asian
3rd CHAR KWAY TEOW
Kong Yam.Kong Sek 港飲港吃。美食坊, Petaling Jaya
The broad rice noodles were pretty well singed, which makes for a good CKT. Tasty, but not a fragrant as a true Penang-style one. #noodles #kueyteow #fried #food
4th CHAR KWAY TEOW
Melawis Fried Kuey Teow, Klang
This chap who fries these noodles is 85, and still at it. An institution amongst Klangites and some from beyond. Not the Penang style, but pretty good nevertheless.
