The Podge & Tin never fails me. This is by far the best local #fish and #chips. No contest. This is the large #cod and chips. If memory serves me it’s £7.95 which is a bargain. The fish is huge, the chips are lovely and crisp but fluffy inside and to top it off they’re cooked in beef dripping! So, so delicious. Staff are lovely and friendly and will happily swap out the mushy peas for curry sauce. You won’t find better fish and chips for the money, unless you’re perhaps by the coast because fish and chips eaten by the sea just always taste better 😂

Another evening at The Rag and another delicious meal. Fresh beer battered #haddock and home made chunky #chips. With a little pot of mushy peas and a generous portion of curry sauce. The fish melted in the mouth and the chips were delicious. Not quite as good as The Podge & Tin but very nice nonetheless.
