Headed down to the Monday vegan market at St. Nicks and finally got to try Bun Fiction. They’d sold out of the Mushroom Cloud so I got the Philly Ain’t No Country which was seitan strips, peppers, onions, cheese, ancho sauce and truffle mayo, Bron got the Bad Motherclucker which was fried seitan fillet, tomatoes, onions, smokey mayo and pickles 👌🏻 they were both sooo good, Bron said it was one of the best sandwiches she’s ever had!

Okay I promise I’ve had Thai food (pad Thai, crazy noodles and green curry) buuut the lighting was terrible so couldn’t snap a pic. Here’s the insanely good vegan brunch we had this morning: berry passionate smoothie, meaty mushroom baguette, coconut, banana and cinnamon French toast and avo toast with vegan feta. Sooo delicious and I’ve never been sooo full.

Went back to singel 404 for the best sandwiches in Amsterdam - shared the nachos, and I had the sun dried tomato hummus with grilled veg and avocado.

Been massively craving tortas recently so found ‘the best tortas in playa’ and they were lush. Not many vegetarian options (either three cheese or egg and cheese) but the base of each sandwich is frijoles, avocado, tomato and onion and they come with an optional very hot salsa and pickled carrots. Biggest sandwich I’ve ever had in my life: veggie grinder hoagie with all the salad, cheese and sauce 🥪🥪🥪 Bron had the California which is Swiss cheese and cheddar with all the salad and sauces (tho she then went on to pick out all the jalapenos and tomato 🤦🏼‍♀️) I’m ashamed to say that I finished mine. Went to dumbo last night and got pizza which wasn’t amazing but our side of stuffed tempura courgette flowers was and we loved the vibe so we came back for lunch today. I had breaded aubergine sandwich with pickle, slaw and onion and a side of crisps and we had a side of breaded mushroom with lemon and sage aioli.
