REALLY GOOD
1st RED SHAKSHUKA
Maryam's Kitchen, London
Really tasty shakshuka. Not that spicy but nicely spiced and very creamy yolks. Enjoyed the pomegranate salsa on the side too. #happyfood #shakshuka #persiancafe #homemade #local #middleeastern
2nd SHAKSHUKA
Field's, London
Nice amount of spiciness, which built up while eating. Good eggs, and nice flavours. Only thing was I would have preferred a more interesting bread on the side. Nice presentation in the tagine dish as well. Really enjoyed it. Size wise, I couldn't finish it all.
3rd GREEN SHAKSHUKA
Maryam's Kitchen, London
Enjoyed this more than I was expecting. It had more depth than I thought it would and still had spice in. I thought it would be bland, it wasn't.
4th SHAKSHUKA
Feather & Heart, Brentford
I enjoyed this. Yolks were soft and it did have a really nice flavour. I often hope for a bit more spice in shakshuka but regardless I enjoyed it and would definitely order again.
5th SHAKSHUKA
Antipode, London
A nice shakshuka. It came with feta but didn't have that much so it was a little bit lost. Nice spices in the sauce maybe too tomatoey? All in all a very nice meal and really filling! Eggs were runny šŸ™‚
6th AUBERGINE SHAKSHUKA
HAPPY Coffee And Tea House, London
tasty but huge! Nice to have aubergine and feta in it. I like it with more spice usually but I did really enjoy it. Also their kale salad is really nice.
7th SHAKSHUKA
Town Bites, London
Kind of like a shakshuka omelette. Pretty tasty especially with the spicy sauce. A bit sweet and thick, kind of like a homemade sriracha. Fresh bread with it was good as usual.
7th SHAKSHUKA
Town Bites, London
The eggs were soft inside though you can't really see it as they had that rubbery skin on top that sometimes happens when you bake them. Tasted really fresh and really good flavours. Not spicy but I didn't mind for once because the combination was so tasty. Homemade Lebanese bread is always lovely too. #shakshuka #eggs #freshlymade
8th SHAKSHUKA
Kapucin, Richmond
Loved the eggs and bread. For me I prefer more spiciness in the sauce but my mum loved it. It was nicely flavoured anyway.
9th SHAKSHUKA
11 Coffee & Co, London
Really nice flavours. Can't really fault them for not having runny yolks when it's not even that close and delivered with deliveroo but still a bit sad about it. Will just have to go there in person after we get back to "normality" to try the proper in house version šŸ™‚
PRETTY GOOD
10th SHAKSHUKA
Espress-Mo, London
Nice warm comforting dish. Soft yolks. Not spicy but nice anyway.
11th SHAKSHUKA
Gunnersbury Park CafƩ, London
Nice though feel like the balance wasn't quite right. Maybe too much tomato for the rest of the dish, the eggs were a little drowned in it, and not enough bread.
JUST OK
12th MEDITERRANEAN BREAKFAST
RADA, Brentford
This set breakfast was shakshuka and flatbread and fresh mint tea. The mint tea was not fresh. The shakshuka and flatbread were okay but I didn't feel like there was so much flavour to it. It wasn't bad but I've had much better. Yolks were soft on the eggs āœ”šŸ˜Š #shakshuka
