3rd SNOW SKIN MOONCAKES
Soots Cook Nook, PrivateHappy Mid-Autumn Festival to all who celebrate and behold my first attempt at mooncakes! The lotus seed paste filling was made from scratch although I had to adapt the recipe to accommodate my lack of a Thermomix®.
The snow skin materialized with a little help from the local baking supply store’s premix but I riffed on a portion of the dough by adding pandan paste because flavor, + classical sculpture aesthetics is so last season.
All in all, a labor-intensive, time-consuming venture but interesting nonetheless to experience what goes into making these pricey pucks.🥮🥮🥮🥮
