SOOT’S TAKE: The largest omelette I’ve ever had. It looked strangely like a slug-like creature lying on its belly, perhaps pregnant with a generous serving of lump crab meat. Elevated by the accompanying green chili sauce which the staff were happy to refill.

Happy World Egg Day to you and me — but mostly to me, because I finally got to attempt (and indulge in) that viral omelet from The Bear. It only took a trip to Switzerland (where Boursin is both ubiquitous and half the price) and three practice omelets to arrive at this one. I must say… I too could cry.

Not on the menu but they granted our request.

I liked it with one of the chili dips that were on offer at their condiment station.

Couldn’t get this to be elegantly cigar-shaped, but at least I got to melt some Brie I had that was drying out and put a Packham pear to good use.

Onion makes everything better.

Tasty, but it only works with the chili sauce.

Long Bean Omelette

Free lunch! For the King's mourners. Courtesy of his royal highness. This marks my first time in Thailand without the late king as king. I suppose I am sufficiently sad to be deserving of this free meal from the Royal Thai Navy. A satisfying repast following a heat-filled excursion among temples and buddhas, little and gargantuan.

Decent omelette.

AKA Kai Jeow Gap Chai Po Thai

Flavoursome thick Omelette with crunchy vegetable bites and juicy mushroom slices, topped with Japanese-styled mushroom gravy.

Not my favorite. I didn’t care for the herb used and there was a lot of it.

Actually it was kind of average. 😶
