Tastes like a variation on the same theme.

Not my first time eating this dish (outside of East Malaysia no less) but certainly my first time attempting it at home. I still don’t care for petai but the prawns are pretty good.

Worth trying but a small part of me couldn’t help thinking the sauce was trying a little too hard.

It was edible but ultimately fell short in the flavors and textures departments.
