Hello old friend.

The best Khao Soi (curry noodle soup) in St. Louis and that is saying something! The smoked chicken and the intense umami flavor of the broth put this over-the-top! 🥇

Picking a favorite menu item at Ramen Tei is reallllly difficult because everything is outstanding, but their Khao Soi edges ahead of not only their soups, but any soup, anywhere, any time. The chicken is deeply smoky and the umami of this dish leaves you wanting to lick the bowl. No lie. :)

31. CHIENG MAI NOODLE SOUP Egg noodle, red and yellow curry paste, coconut milk, ginger, red onion, scallions & cilantro & tofu (extra charge for tofu). Tastes very, very similar to Kao Soi. I ordered 3 chili hot on their scale of 1-5 hotness scale. Delicious and the staff was very friendly and informative about the menu. They really care that you have a great experience. I'll be back. $9.95

The duck was very good and the broth was very delicate. I asked for cilantro and added it along with a spoonful of chili oil and then it was really good. 

Not very spicy...I dumped about 2 tbsp. of chili oil in it to help it out. Good, but I've had better. I wouldn't order again though.

Very flavorful duck, fresh baby bok choy in a light broth. At only 6.99, this is a great deal.

So, this is similar to Khao Soi, but since it is Laotian, it is slightly different and super spicy. I thought it was just OK. Khao Poon 8.95 Red curry and coconut pork broth, vermicelli noodles, ground pork, bamboo, bean sprouts, fresh herbs, red onions, and cabbage (can be made without the curry and coconut milk)
