I added shrimp cuz I’m HANGRY after being on my feet all morning! Soooooo good! Just the right amount of spice.
3rd EGGPLANT PARMIGIANO
Guido's Pizzeria & Tapas, St. Louis
The BEST! My father and I are so much alike. We both ordered the eggplant Parm and then split the large Guido's special salad.
4th BLACK PASTA WITH SCALLOOS, CLAMS, PRAWNS & CAVIAR

This locally owned restaurant is a St. Louis treasure. Katie Lee has a very thoughtful and imaginative menu making this Italian restaurant unlike any other in the area. Definitely destination restaurant.

Babbo's Spaghetteria, Chesterfield
This is comfort on a plate. The fresh made cannelloni are chock full of the beef, mascarpone & spinach filing & the fresh tomato sauce is light & delicious. No freezers or microwaves in this family owned Spaghetteria . Everything is bought fresh in the morning & prepared each day. A real gem.

10th PASTA CON BROCCOLI

Hey St. Louis favorite this is a fantastic version of it but enough to feed four people and swimming in sauce. That’s not a bad thing!!
11th MUSHROOM RAVIOLI
Peno Soul Food, St. Louis
Best dish of the night. Missouri mushrooms & handmade ravioli & sauce.
REALLY GOOD
12th TABLESIDE SERVICE - PASTA CORFU & MOUSAKA
Spiro's St. Charles, Saint Charles
I love the food here and the attention to detail in service is top notch. Every single hot dish is literally heated further inside a plate over a flame. Your dinner stays hot the entire time you're eating it. Nice!
13th PASTA POLLO ALFREDO
Babbo's Spaghetteria, Chesterfield
Girls night out with my Mom. She said she just wanted "something light." She ordered this & ate almost the whole thing with 4 pieces of Italian bread that she declares "is to die for!" She ate half my watermelon salad too...Love my Mom.
14th ARUGULA REGINETTE PASTA
Katie's Pizza & Pasta, St. Louis
ARUGULA REGINETTE ARUGULA FLAVORED REGINETTE WITH PORCINI CREAM, FOREST MUSHROOMS &TRUFFLE OIL. This was my friend Jess's dish. She absolutely adored it. You could smell the truffles a mile away.
15th WILD MUSHROOM PASTA
Babbo's Spaghetteria, Chesterfield
So many varieties of mushroom! Jess loved this dish.
17th CANNELLONI
Talayna's Wagon Wheel Pizza, Saint Charles
A classic plate of cannelloni from Talayna's tastes the same today as it did when I was a teenager. It's not fancy but it's a great family restaurant and they have them all over the city and county.
18th RIGATONI CARBONARA
Erio's Ristorante, St. Peters
SO decadent and, hello? Black olives?!! Yes!!!
20th SMOKED CHICKEN PENNE PASTA
YaYas Euro Bistro in Chesterfield, Chesterfield
This hit the spot because I hadn't eaten for 7 hours, but I would only give it a 7 out of 10 due to the sauce being too spare and a bit bland. Smoked local chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, sweet peas and garlic cream sauce. I love peas in my pasta. My Nonna always added it in her marinara & we all loved it.
21st PAPPARDELLE PALERMO
Peno Soul Food, St. Louis
With salsiccia and prosciutto in a light broth. Pretty good. All housemade pasta, but I only ate half & the waiter threw out my leftovers! No doggy bag for a $91 (before tip), meal is not cool in my book. Oh well.
22nd PASTA “DONE LIGHT”
Valenti's Market and Catering, St. Peters
Pasta with an olive oil and sun-dried tomato sauce.
24th SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS
Babbo's Spaghetteria, Chesterfield
I have loved just about everything I’ve ordered here over the years, and I’ve always order-envied the old standard spaghetti and meatballs that other people order but really ...why order something so ordinary at a restaurant? It’s a Monday night meal at home. But ...I was in the mood so I ordered it and was sadly disappointed! I have never had watery Ragu before. It was so watery nothing clung to the pasta at all so I drenched it in Parmesan cheese to try to thicken it up and while it did ultimately have a good flavor, I would not order this again. Also the meatballs were overworked and far too dense. Sigh.
28th CANELLONI
Talayna's Italian Restaurant, Chesterfield
Not as good as I remember it. Has it changed, or is my palate just more sophisticated as I get older?
