AMAZING
1st BLACK COD BAO
BAO Fitzrovia, London
Cod Black - not a new first person shooter but a delightful small bun holding fried cod fillet in a black batter, with Ng sauce and hot sauce. Like a glorious mini dark fish o filet with a twist
2nd CLASSIC BAO
BAO Fitzrovia, London
Bao down. Classic braised pork, coriander and crushed peanut. So moreish. šŸ˜‹
3rd PORK BELLY BAO
Pot Sticker Dumpling Bar, Christchurch
For me, pork belly is the classic bao bun filling you have to get right and this is a good example. Thick cut of a tender roast pork belly with crunchy skin. Cucumber and picked red onions work well with the sticky hoisin sauce. Definitely worth getting! šŸ˜‹
3rd PRAWN BAO
Kumquat Fusion Cafe & Kitchen, Royal Tunbridge Wells
Fluffy Bao with juicy prawns in a panko crumb, working really well with the chutney condiment.
4th FRIED CHICKEN BAO
Pot Sticker Dumpling Bar, Christchurch
Excellent fried chicken thigh with spicy mayo. Crunchy exterior, juicy meat, nice contrast from the sauce. Probably a few too many beansprouts but they fall out anyway so I'm not counting that...
REALLY GOOD
5th BIG BAO WITH BEEF
Wen Jia Bao, Singapore
Its called a Big Bao for a reason and its just SGD $2

5th PORK BELLY BAO
Kumquat Fusion Cafe & Kitchen, Royal Tunbridge Wells
Excellent take on a classic soy-glazed, slow cooked pork belly bao.
REALLY GOOD
6th CHINESE BEEF BURGER
R & H Chinese Food, Richmond
Super tender beef with good flavour. Tiny bit dry so could use a sauce on top but otherwise šŸ˜‹
7th FRIED CHICKEN BAO
Mean Bao, Toronto
Good, crispy panko crusted and tender thigh fillet. A little bit of cartilage left on the meat which I chewed through - not a problem for me since I've got a taste for it, but could be a problem for those not used to it.
8th PORK BELLY BAO
Mean Bao, Toronto
Super soft pork belly but a little bit shy on the hoisin. Skin wasn't crispy either, but otherwise very good.
9th PORK BAO

Lovely modern Vietnamese kitchen serving familiar dishes with a twist like these snack-sized pork bao buns
