1st MORCILLA WITH QUAIL EGG

Same dish as one I reviewed in their inferior sister restaurant, only this time executed perfectly. Lovely plate and a quintessential tapas staple.
2nd ROASTED BLOOD SAUSAGE
Glacis Beisl, Wien
It's not at all photogenic but it hits a savoury, iron rich note, offset by a sharp sauerkraut and rounded off with a dense, boiled potato. Rustic, traditional food cooked expertly.
REALLY GOOD
3rd BLOOD SAUSAGE
Haus Scholzen, Köln
Fried blood sausage, crispy onions, buttery mash and apple sauce. Very traditional German meal.
4th MORCILLA DE BURGOS
Casa Lola, Málaga
Basically cold black pudding with bread sticks. Nothing fancy, but if you like blood sausage, this is great finger food to be washed down with beer 😋

Morcilla is not for everyone but this wasn't a great execution of what should a classic combo: seared blood sausage on roast pumpkin and topped with an egg. The criminally cooked through yolk is a sign of a sloppy chef. Disappointed to say the least.

Very loose, almost haggis like texture to this black pudding, flavoured with thyme. Buckwheat replaces oats in this Ukrainian blood sausage. Think I prefer the UK style equivalent.
