I love a good risotto. The is an excellent example of one. Packed with supremely tasty wild mushrooms and roast pumpkin, it was creamy, savoury and just plain delicious 😋

Lovely texture and strong pea flavour in the creamy rice, with a note of asparagus too. The prawn carpaccio was a little strange, very finely sliced after being minced and set. Not a huge fan of it.

Spelt risotto is an interesting variation, as it is much less rich and not really very creamy. But it works nicely with the fried local trout fillet, pea puree and vegetables. However, the whole plate needed salt and a good squeeze of lemon to bring it to life.
