AMAZING
1st DRACULA TONKOTSU
Shoryu Ramen Liverpool Street, London
Really really really garlic-y ramen with the amazing char siu pork belly and hard boil egg. All ways my go to ramen at Shoryu but does a number to my breath 🤭
2nd TONKOTSU
Tonkotsu Peckham, London
The ramen noodles were cooked really well where they were still al-dente. The soup was really good and had a nice smokey flavour from what I believe is from burnt garlic oil. The egg was really good and cooked perfectly and the fatty pork char-siu was really flavorful and to die for. Overall, a well executed bowl ramen worthy of a second portion of noodles
3rd CRAB TONKOTSU RAMEN
Bone Daddies Bond St, London
A full bodied soup base with perfectly cooked ramen noodles. The soft shelled crab was also booked perfectly and was a perfect accompaniment to the pork chashu. This dish may be slightly too salty for some palette but was fine for me, but with this said, it would go well with a pint of bone daddies larger
4th MUSHROOM RAMEN
Bone Daddies Bond St, London
An amazing vegetarian ramen. The various mushrooms used provided the umami that is normally obtained through meat so the broth is not lacking in taste. The ramen noodles are cooked to perfection and the vegetables accompany the dish with its clean flavour profiles. Note: Bone Daddies also offer this as an vegan option as well
JUST OK
5th MISO MUSHROOM RAMEN
Tonkotsu Peckham, London
The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly with them being just aldente The soup was a really light and had slight umami from the mushrooms but lacked any miso flavouring. The mushrooms were plain and the black kale was just ok. The egg was perfectly cooked with the yolk congealing from being marinaded with soya sauce which made it very tasty. All in all, an underwhelming bowl of ramen
