AMAZING
1st MARGHERITA (D.O.P BUFFALO)
Round Pizza Napoletana, Petaling Jaya
Super light crust topped with San Marzano tomatoes, cheese, basil and EVOO. The buffalo cheese really pushes this to “Amazing” level. The whole pizza is so light and delicious that it’s easy to just finish the whole thing on your own. Made by the happiest and most passionate pizzaiolo in town!
2nd MARGHERITA AND BEEF COLD CUT

Margherita topped with imported Italian beef prosciutto, arugula and grated cheese. Homaigawd. She beautiful 😭😭😭.
3rd ONG ONG ONG ONG ONG ONG CHEESE LAI

Fior di Latte, DOP Gorgonzola, DOP Parmigiana Reggiano 36 months, Ricotta, Grana Padano tuiles, pineapple and walnuts. Yes. Pineapple. But not like the usual random chunks of pineapple thrown in just to piss the Italians off. Rather, this seemed to be cooked down a little, almost like a purée to me. And it went very well with all the cheeses. Also, there are suppose to be 6 cheeses but I don’t know what the 6th one is… 🙈. Only available for a very limited time.
4th TRUFFLE MUSHROOM

Grilled forest mushrooms, white truffle and mushroom paste, mozzarella cheese. Speechless.

5th ANCHOVIES AND BURRATA PIZZA

Tomato sauce, capers, basil, anchovies, burrata, evoo. Please excuse the liquid on the pizza. The burrata was packed separately (very thoughtful!) and in my hurry I tipped the whole container unto the pizza without realizing there was still some water in it. Despite that little blunder, this was still one heck of a pizza. It’s been a week since I had it and I still find myself dreaming of this glorious pizza. I can’t help it. It is that good.
6th FILLETI PIZZA
Uno's Pizzeria, Petaling Jaya
Fior di latte, baby tomatoes, anchovies, garlic, basil, evoo. This one blew my mind. It’s a sauce-less pizza but didn’t taste dry or lacking at all. Very good.
7th CLASSIC BURRATA

Italian burrata cheese, heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, pine nuts, pesto oil, kombu tomato concasse. Absolutely delicious! Great sourdough crust. Slightly chewy, with that lovely sourdough tang.
8th MARGHERITA PIZZA

Tomato sauce, fior di latte, basil, grana padano, evoo. This really reminds me of the pizza we had in Naples. So simple and good. All you need is quality ingredients and a little bit of magic.
9th WAGYU BEEF CROZZA

Wagyu beef, cherry tomato, red capsicum, mozzarella cheese, bechamel sauce, kombu tomato concasse. You’ve met the croffle, you’ve met the cruffin. You might have even met the cronut. Now meet the crozza, when the croissant suffers yet another identity crisis and decides to be a pizza. Was half-expecting this to have a soggy bottom but was pleasantly surprised to find it light and flaky. ‘Tis good!
10th PROSCIUTTO AND ROCKET PIZZA

The pizza at this restaurant is made with a very thin base, kinda like a skinny pizza. It’s for this reason that I like it a lot, as it is light and does not leave the tummy feeling heavy. I find that the ingredients get their moment this way, as there’s less dough to take away their flavours.

Honey, creamed shooms, portabella chunks, truffle paste. The aroma that was coming from this box... that heavenly earthy perfume of truffles... that punch of flavours invading my mouth... Oh. My. Gawd.

Smoked duck slices, garlic oil, torched mandarin slices, onion jam. What a clever, clever name. “Huat” which means “Prosper” is a term heard often during Chinese New Year, when mandarin oranges make their appearance as well. Not to mention that the name also sounds like a certain phrase that I use a little too often 😉. How was the pizza? So good. Move over, Hawaiian Pizza. Huat The Duck is here to stay. Also, spoiler alert but I am unapologetically rating everything here as Amazing for now.

White sauce, mozzarella, smoked chicken, garlic mushrooms, jalapeños and pineapple on a wood oven pizza. Yes, yes, pineapple on pizza, travesty, yada, yada, yada... It's still a darn good pizza. No regrets!

Chix sloppy joe, mozzarella, cheese mix, jalapeño, green salsa, pineapple. I know guys, I know... it all sounds so wrong. But this is already quite tame coming from the guys at myPizzaLab. And... I actually enjoyed it, pineapples and all. (Please don’t flame me 😅)

Tomatoes, mozzarella and oregano. Last item to arrive and by then we were pretty much full. Yet, this still got us mmmm-ing away. It was that good.

We loved that Uno's version was light, with a nice balance between the cheese and tomato sauce. Too often we get a margherita that is so overwhelmingly cheesy that it becomes too heavy. Sometimes, less really is more.

Wood fired pizza with roasted pumpkin, smoked chicken, olives and a hint of anchovy. Nice combination of sweet pumpkin and salty olives and anchovy. We liked this a lot.

Says it’s with three types of cheese, although it wasn’t specified what cheese. But oh it’s good. Really good.

Calling it a deep dish pizza is a bit of a stretch for sure. Nonetheless, it was still good. This was loaded with tomato sauce, ground beef, mushroom, onions and TONS of cheese. A lot more cheese than you can see, as there’s more hidden underneath.

Ham, egg, olives and onions. Not so keen on the egg, but we did appreciate that they used proper ham and not the cheap, textureless processed meat from the supermarket.

Creamed corn, coconut flakes, cheese mix, peanut butter, peanut mix. Tasted exactly like a local favourite called Apam Balik. It’s tasty, no doubt about it. But it didn’t make the Really Good rank for me because I prefer the actual Apam Balik.

Indomie Original, grilled chicken, egg (which was still runny 👍🏼), spring onions, onions and sliced chillies. On a pizza. I am about to get flamed so badly for really liking this.

Fish fingers, tartar sauce, cherry tomatoes and onions. Came with a side of fries as well, lol! You know what... it sounds so weird but it was actually pretty good! I appreciate that the fish fingers were not some flour-based fish-flavoured concoction. Nice!
