Housemade squid cakes, ajo blanco, marinated grapes, chili butter and dill oil with toasted sourdough on the side. I love, love, love, love, LOVE this dish so much. The chilled ajo blanco was so refreshing! Everything here is just perfect, even the sourdough. Perfect.

I seem to be the only person enjoying this. I’m not complaining. Fish maw is one of my weaknesses! The soup can be a little off-putting if you’re not used to starchiness but it’s all good for me.

“Succulent breaded perch fillet, stacked with crispy prawn scampi, melted cheddar cheese, gherkins and our homemade sauces. Served in a toasted bun with a side of rustic hand-cut potato crisps” This almost made it Really Good. The fish was good, scampi was good, those crisps were excellent (definitely not from a bag) but the letdown for me was the bun. Perhaps it needed to be toasted a bit more 🤷🏻‍♀️.
