Chef Alex has managed to put the western world's best tonkatsu into a sandwich that will blow your mind. I could eat this every single day of my life. All important food groups are included!!

All right, am I the ONLY person on earth that doesn’t think that this is the best katsu sando around? Because it REALLY isn’t all that. I feel like this is one of those insta hype dishes... everyone just hopping on the wagon, saying it’s great and all. I’ve consumed probably over 500 katsu sandos throughout my life - those tasty, juicy pork loin marvels of life. Oink oink. This one is made from an iberico pork secreto, which is a cut of meat I usually LOVE, but when it’s deep fried to this extent, to within an inch of its life (look at how dark the breading is), it just becomes regular old pork with globs of gross chewy fat. Just look at it! The raspberry jam with XO shallot sauce sounds cool and fancy but it is just sweet and one dimensional. I would really like to know if people are being honest when they say they would sell their mothers for this sando, because this sando wouldn’t fly two centimetres off the ground in Japan, and I really really ❤️love❤️ my momma! 😁😂 Maybe I got a bum one, but it was handed to me by someone who should know better, and it was approved before it got to the pass.
