Balwoo Gongyang, SeoulWent for amazing vegetarian Michelin starred temple food today ✨ the first course was cucumber jelly in a five berry sauce, along with corn porridge and pickled radish, course two was three sharing dishes of cherry tomatoes in black sesame seeds and soy sauce, fried spring veg (aubergine, pepper, courgette and bamboo shoots) in soy sauce and blanched potato and coriander in soy sauce, the third course (which was my favourite) was cold spicy noodles with shiitake mushrooms, deep fried mushrooms in a sweet and spicy sauce, pickled melon and pickled cucumber, tofu with pickle shishito pepper, mung bean pancake, deep fried lettuce and a mushroom and nut dumpling, the fourth course was sticky lotus rice with nuts, a five year old soy bean paste stew and side dishes of two kimchis, marinated greens and pickled radish and the final fifth course was raspberry jelly with kiwi and a cold mint tea.
