REALLY GOOD
1st COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Capricci, Positano
Could just keep eating it forever. Good consistency, soft inside and crusty and floury outside. Only complaint was that they gave us about 3 bits that were mostly the outside, but that probably was better for us in the long run as we didn't eat them! #bread
2nd PERSIAN BREAD
Maryam's Kitchen, London
Tasty flatbread, served warm.
3rd COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Ksara (Ealing), London
Well I love flatbread, especially Lebanese. Hard to go wrong. Was good.
4th FOCACCIA ALLE OLIVE
Pasta Di Piazza, London
Good size for a starter to share between two. Liked the focaccia, it was warm and flavour was nice. The oil and vinegar and the olives were good. I didn't really get the carrot pieces in with the olives though but that was a really small part of it.
6th 'THE SARDINIAN' (PANE FRATTAU)
Tiramisu Cafe, London
I've never had this before. It's made using Sardinian flatbread- pane carasau. It's wafer thin though, even thinner than a crepe. It was layered and had tomato sauce and topped with a poached egg. It was certainly enjoyable, not super filling but not bad and the flavours were good.
7th CARROT RYE BREAD
Ole & Steen, Richmond
Nice flavour, quite subtle. Not too moist and not at all dry.
PRETTY GOOD
9th COMPLIMENTARY BREAD AND OLIVES
Little Italy, St Andrews
Didn't seem like enough for 4 people but they did give us more on our request. Nice.
