BRIEF: “Broken rice with pork chops.” SOOT’S TAKE: Delish!

Can you believe I made pork chops??? And pork chops that I patiently cured with a cider-brine for over 2 days? For a pork-averse person like myself it was surprisingly good, especially with everything put together like this. Oh well, 2020.

Oven-baked Kurobuta Pork with XO Sauce and Deep-fried “Man Tou”. This was also very good considering I’m not crazy about pork ie no boar taint 🐗

“Premium cut of pork marinated in traditional soy marinade and flamed for perfect smokiness. Served with a side of wedges and Hainanese curry dip.” Pork (thankfully) was free of boar taint. Also included was ~ 1/2 tablespoon of what I think was some kind of caramelized and pickled onion relish which there definitely needed to be several more tablespoons of.
