What looked to be and tasted like egg salad, topped with truffle bits over shrimp that very tragically, was coated in stodgy batter. It had the potential to be very good but alas, the tempura really, really let the whole dish down. Chef Akimitsu, the Donburi Union called and they want their medals back. 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

Sweet potato, kabocha and ebi

This was really pretty good

A combination of batter-fried to a crisp ebi, eggplant, carrot (I’m always disappointed when this happens because I always think it’s sweet potato), green beans and some kind of flakey white fish.

This was not the best tempura, tempura-wise or pumpkin-wise. The pumpkin was dry and disturbingly powdery which wasn’t helped much by the dip.
