This off-menu item was delicious! They posted on social media that they just flew in some fresh sea bass and I jumped on it! Lightly breaded and pan seared with a lemon caper sauce on a bed of spinach. Delicious!!
Pan seared grouper in lobster broth with gnocchi, asparagus & grape tomatoes. One of the best dishes I've had here and that's high praise. This restaurant buys fresh ingredients daily and uses seasonal ingredients.
They do not own a freezer or a microwave. Awesome!
This was epic. Triggerfish is a meaty fish, kind of like halibut, and the seafood stuffing was generous on the Seafood with Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs and other goodness. I would order this again and again.
California halibut served on sautéed apple, chayote & zucchini finished with a tamarind-morita sauce with spinach and sun-dried tomato gnocchi. Heavenly!
Wood grilled halibut finished with lemon, potato sage gratin & lemon asparagus risotto. Enjoyed this very much! Service here is very attentive & atmosphere is upscale yet casual. Very fresh seafood flown in.
Red snapper topped with shrimp and crawfish and Alexander sauce. The Alexander sauces is a Cajun Alfredo. Served with matchstick steamed summer vegetables. This was delicious!
My dining companions dinner…it was a bit better than mine but also $12 more. The halibut was super thin and not how I’m used to being served. - in a nice flaky chunk. Lol
The trophy room at Old Kinderhook is a very traditional looking golf clubhouse overlooking on Old Kinderhook golf course. Lots of dark wood, leather chairs and elderly people in golf attire. The mahi-mahi suffered a bit from the ride home
- it was overcooked (probably carry over cooking) and the jalapeño grits had the consistency of mashed potatoes. I asked for maître d’ mushrooms on the side and instead they were dumped on top of the fish. The flavors were good though and it was a healthier dinner.
