AMAZING
1st UNKO MIKE'S HOLIDAY CRUNCHY TREAT
Unko Mike's, USA
Only once a year, the special treat from my former co-worker(now happily retired)'s, it is, very simple yet extremely tasty: graham crackers drizled with butter scotch & walnuts✌🏽
6th CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT OREO
Longs Drugs, Honolulu
Usually care-lsss about these whole Oreo things UNTIL I saw this at the store. Since hazelnut is my "thing", it sure caught my attention. Although "artificially" flavored, definitely the best oreo I've ever tried - and am "addicted" ever since...
7th DOUBLE CHUNK DARK CHOCOLATE BANANA BRITTLE
Down to Earth Organic & Natural Kakaako, Honolulu
Plant-based organic version of "brittles" but just as good, or even better than the conventional one, crunchy, chocolaty...and certainly won't taste bananas at all!. Highly addictive✌🏽
8th MANDEL ZIEGEL
(株)本高砂屋 住吉店, Kobe
German/European origined made in Japan dessert, got it for Omiyage. Crunchy/Buttery/Nutty sweetness, but none of the flavor/ingredients are over-powered, well crafted & absolutely a must try✌🏽
11th SAKURA WAFFLE
Minamoto Kitchoan, Honolulu
Another seasonal(weep😢) product only available in a set of products. Cherry-blossom and cookie?? Unimaginable combination...cookie(baked) and cherrybloasom/flower(fresh) have no matching place...til I try this. Cookie has an almond flavor, kind of like chinese almond cookie, so you’d probablly ask “why is this Sakura cookie?” Wait until you get to the filling...has a burst of sakura extract/fragrance. Unusually matches. If you’re not an almond cookie person, you may not enjoy tho....
13th CHOC CHIP / MOCHI KRUNCH KOOKIES
Made in Hawaii , Hawaii
Unusual but sooooo good! Who would even think of adding mochi crunch(aka rice crackers) into sweet thing like cookies?? Totally unheard of...Hawaii thing I guess? When I first saw this at the Made in Hawaii, I was very skeptical & even found the idea very odd...no way food item such as soy sauce could be a part of cookie... but then I’ve thought of (altho being herbivore, I never even tried) bacon on donuts...soy sauce may not be so bad, I gave a try...and I’ve been hooked. The soy sauce salty crunchness do have a spot & indeed, give an accent to this cookie. The ingredients are also very simple, when you look at the back of label, it only has very few listed. When I spoke to the owner she told me she only uses what she knows & understands: simple & the best✌️
14th 2 ASSORTED COOKIES FROM KAWA KOOKIES
Made in Hawaii , Hawaii
Choc chip & mochi cracker(left), choc chip & mac nuts(right)✌️
15th AUNTIE LEILANI'S PINEAPPLE SHORTBREAD
Ohi'a bakery, Honolulu HI 96820
British Shortbread with a twist of paradise. Hint of fesh pineapple🤙🏽
16th GREEN TEA GRACE LANGUE BY GINZA ROKUMEIKAN
Minamoto Kitchoan, Honolulu
Japanese take of French Langue de chat, crunchy-thin greentea cookies sandwiched bitter-sweet greentea chocolate, addictive for greentea lovers✌️
17th LEAF PIE - MILK
Minamoto Kitchoan, Honolulu
Unfortunately the plain one is completely sold-out but this ohe is just as great. Light crunchy-flaky pie elegantly half coated with milky chocolate...this tiny gem is an absolute treat
19th FUKUWATASHI CHOCOLATE
Minamoto Kitchoan, Honolulu
Surprisingly & unexpectedly good✌️️
20th FUKUWATASHI MATCHA
Minamoto Kitchoan, Honolulu
As you can see, the bright green color reflects the deep matcha flavor. Soohisticated sweet creation for grown ups
21st JAPANESE COOKIES
Japan, Japan
Omiyage from Japan. Cherry-blossom kInako kitkat & Kiyomizu white peach langue de chat🇯🇵
22nd SALTED CARAMEL COOKIE
The Cookie Corner, Honolulu
Cannot beat the pecan one but I'd definitely place this the second to Pecan, no frills, simple caramel with hint of salt.
PRETTY GOOD
23rd MATCHA & ORANGE KITKAT
Nestlé Japan Ltd. Kobe Head Office, Kobe
Some of those specialty KitKats, Omiyage from Japan...
24th CHOCOLATE CHIP PECANS COOKIE
Baker Dudes, Honolulu
Wish a bit more pecans in it...but still reminiscent of good ol southern goodies😂
25th たこパティシエ
飄月堂, Japan
Got this omiyage. Wasn’t too sure of this product when I first saw this...octopus, patissier? Turned out to be a mini Takoyaki(octopus ball) pastrie from none other than Osaka! What a strange idea of corporating savory(takpyaki) & sweet(pie/cookie) into one...well, here it is! It really is, a Takoyaki pie! Definitely an Osaka specialty...
26th LEMON SHORTBREAD COOKIES
Honolulu Cookie Company, Honolulu
Seasonal special. Nostalgic flavoring too, kind of like your grandma used to bake it for you...✌🏽
27th TIRAMISU OREO
Safeway, Honolulu
Didn't taste much of Tiramisu...maybe because this is THIN? Should've regular...
JUST OK
28th CHEESE CREAM SANDWICH WAFFLE COOKIE
Minamoto Kitchoan Ala Moana Center Store, Honolulu
One of the new 🇯🇵 product the store started carrying. The flavor-wise, reninded me of the steamed cheese cake(cheese cake mushi pan) that was crazily pooular in 🇯🇵 back in the 90's. Minus the strong/distinguish flavoring. Also less sweet. First bite was like a cheese cracker, as you keep biting more you'd taste a hint of sweet cheesish flavor...kinda in-between savory and sweet...
29th PETITE PUMPKIN SPICE COOKIES
Trader Joe's, Las Vegas
An omiyage from the mainland. Just as majority of TJ products, decent seasonal cookies✌🏽
30th STONE COOKIES
Mt View Bakery Inc, Mountain View
As the name explained, the hatdest cookie ever! Maybe good with coffee or tea, like biscotti...
