KHANOM BUEANG (THAI CREPES)
Eathai, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon
Khanom Bueang is an ancient Thai dessert. It is a popular form of street food in Thailand. Khanom bueang are usually topped or filled with coconut cream, followed by a sweet or salty topping such as shredded coconut, chopped scallions or Foi Thong (strips of fried eggs or egg yolks). In bygone times, shrimps were used, hence, giving it the orange appearance and the salty taste.
Quite delicious, albeit sweet (that’s how Thais like it) and filling! This was served up by a renown street vendor manning a stall at Central Embassy #sweet #dessert #thai
