“Hot!” It said on the sign, “great!” Says I, because who doesn’t like warm flakey pastry?
This is not warm, flakey pastry. This is a hot mess.
I used to love Coughlans but I feel like they’ve put their new commitment to veganism above taste. I genuinely believe these pastries are being served hot because they’d be borderline inedible otherwise.
It was squishy, stodgy, almost tasting underbaked in the middle and not a laminated flake in sight. Sad face.
