Fried Noodles @ Zaibatsu
FRIED NOODLES
Zaibatsu, London
This place is hectic and tiny, but the sort of place you’d be proud to introduce people to because of how incredibly un-showy it is. I was surprised by how packed it was when I went there, a usual good sign of quality. This proved true, and thankfully the quantities were amazing too. They don’t pander to people who can’t use chop sticks (like me, to my shame), but have a guide of how to use them on the menu instead. So I had to learn on the job, and thankfully I did. Since then, I have been eating Japanese food as it should be eaten. For that I will always remember this place. I had their “House Dynamite fried Noodles” which had every kind of meat in it, fish, Chicken, everything. It was lovely, though the various meats was slightly jarring, but still delicious. Somehow I finished it, in addition to the sushi and pork gyoza’s I ordered. When you add my girlfriends Katsu Curry main and shared sushi starter, it all came to £26. Which is an insanely good price given the amount of food we ordered. If you’re in Greenwich you should definitely stop by.
