Happy Biscuits and Gravy Day but with less happy “biscuits” because I messed up the proportions in executing the biscuit part of the recipe. Thanks to my sleep addled state this morning, I mistook the full amount of yogurt going into the biscuit mix for the halved amount, leading to a desperate but ultimately hopeless attempt to save the dough with too much flour. The result was a dense, tough product that tasted biscuit-y but that no self-respecting biscuit could identify with. Gravy was excellent though with homemade breakfast sausage.
